Values...

Hallo,

As and when I come across Values, It reminds me about my earlier company I worked for i.e., Novell. Novell is a great company to work with in terms of its values, its open culture and its technology orientation. I had worked under good managers over there who were supportive, friendly and open minded.

You might ask yourself a question, what this guy is trying to say...
All of us have some values, inbuilt values :) (ofcourse good values) with which we were born. Over a period of time there might be some circumstances where we have to sacrifice these values for money, prestige or some other illegal && unethical activities...But never ever do that. Don't sacrifice your values for any of the above mentioned. Originality(and of course the same word with little bit tweek) is the strength... take it from me. Respecting your inborn values has got a long term benefit and has a profit year on year.

1. Why wh questions are called wife & husband questions ?

2. People angrily say Go to Hell, but when they are happy and content why don't they say Go to Heaven ?

3. Was there a beginning for this world and the Time ? ( I know that you ask me to refer Brief History of Time but I'm asking your opinion)

4. Why TVs, Monitors are square in shape ?

5. Why people are so crazy about Diamond, Gold and Silver, though these are just rarely found on earth ?

6. Why a very few people say 'just' is a bad word ?

7. Apart from Biological,Nuclear weapons why can't there be something else to protect ourselves ?

8. Which is the worlds fastest/smartest super computer ?

9. Where do you store beliefs in your brain ? (People say Hypothalamous is responsible for this activity, the other part is responsible for some other activities like hand movement/eye movement)

10. Was the first 'C' compiler written in assembly, then in which language the first assembler was written ? Was it a machine code 'a series of 1s and 0s' ?

11. What's the significance of Z-state in electronics ? we have heard of ON state i.e., 1 and OFF state i.e., 0. Why can't we store z-state so that all of our computer operates in tertiary mode instead of binary mode !!!

Have a good night sleep...

Happy SankRanTHI...

Like many other Indian festivals, Pongal / Sankranti also has a few interesting legends attached to it signifying the importance it holds. The most popular legend is the one connected to the first day of the Pongal/ Sankranti celebration when the Rain God, Bhogi or Indra is worshipped. According to the legend, on this day Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Mountain on his little finger to shelter his people and save them from being washed away by the rains and floods. Another legend is associated with the third day of Pongal/ Sankranti celebration,

also known as Mattu Pongal. According to it, Lord Shiva once asked Nandi, his bull, to go to earth and deliver his message to the people - to have an oil bath every day, and food once a month. But Nandi got it all mixed up when he delivered the message, and told the people that Shiva asked them to have an oil bath once a month, and eat every day. Shiva was displeased, and told Nandi that since the people would now need to grow more grain, Nandi would have to remain on earth and help them plough the fields. Mattu Pongal is also called Kanu Pongal, and women pray for the welfare of their brothers.

Welcome to 2007...

Trip to Go-karna, Yana and awesome/tiresome beach cricket / valley ball...

Had a nice trip. I've travelled a lot but this one stood first in that list.
Many congruent cultures, I mean to say all 10 of us were from different orgs...ooh can't think of it.

Bear with me, the blog is turning into a travel diary.

We started around 1.00 am, friday night from Daba near Nelamangala, reached Kumta at 10.00 am next day. Nice greeneries/Nilgiris on either side of the road.

started towards Yana at 11.00 am. Our TT somehow managed to carry us near yana and from there we had to walk for 2 kms. good trecking experience... and then The lord Bhyraveshwara darshanam and the stories told by one of the priests about how this solid rock was formed/evolved which is called "Bhyraveshwara shikhara" and one more right infront of this Bhyraveshwara shikhara is called "Mohini shikhara". The story says after destroying Bhasmasura the lord vishnu has become Mohini shikhara here. But there is no proof for this. then we came back to kumta around 7.

Making an End to this topic abruptly...as it contains IPRs this onwards...

Cricket: Sreesanth Swinging His Bat..... Dhoom Machale?!

Cricket: This is the # 10 batsman Sreesanth, of India, responding to the South African Andre Nel's comment "Man, just don't swing your bat, have a heart to hit the ball", by hitting the very next ball for the maximum six runs and by showing his "heart" in front of Nel's face..... I hope this has made my clip more clear to the non-cricketing public!

Ello Hudukide illada devara...

One thing I want to talk about is...

If you are happy inside, everything outside seems to be bright, but if you are feeling bad, everything outside seems to be against you though you are in heaven...Is it not ?

You might have seen some people suddenly become talkative who have not been talking for quite some time, suddenly start phoning and ask abt your well being...suddenly start messaging 3-4 msgs... here will be a sense of accomplishment in their heart, let it be completinon of assignment, the tough boss got transferred ; ), a new place, a new job anything which brings happyness for that matter...

That's why the poet says
Ello hudukide illada devara Kallu mannugala gudiyolage
Ille iruva preethi snehagala guruthisadadenu nammolage...Awesome poem...I like it very much
atleast thrice a week I listen to this song...

let's slightly deviate from what we talked above...

Each and every one of us at every moment win/lose Is it not...
and each one of us are always in search of something and it may not be reflected in day to day activities...but I'm sure that we are search of something which we do not know... unbelievable right ? believe it.

Vishwa

A kick start to blogging - Karmanye vadhikarasthe Maphaleshu Kadachana

I'm little bit relaxed since it's transition period for me...moving on from Novell

An intro...is enough today
Myself - Vishwanath from Sagar, my near and dear ones call me 'Vishu'.
Gopali - Gopalkrishna Bhat, one of my room mates in Havyaka hostel, very dynamic fellow...The one who wrote the daring stmt "Don't get disturbed" on our room door !!! currently works for GE
Made - Mahesh hegde, another room mate works for Bosch
Bavayya - Ganesh L.D. My cousin staying with me from the last 3 years works for AMCC
Dinky - Shriharsha, another roommate from Sagar works for Span systems
KK - Krishna Kishore Kammaje, a good friend of mine currently in US works for Wipro

Having intro in place,
I've not been in touch with any of the above friends from the last 2 weeks except Bavayya.

I just sent a mail to KK asking abt his well being..
I canceled my transition ppt which was scheduled in the afternoon because of hunger ; ) Now no room is empty to present...thinking of doing it in my cubicle...

This is my first blogging experience bear with me if there are any boring contents...
I liked the blog KK posted the other day at http://blinkingthoughtz.blogspot.com/2006/06/my-usa-ii-days-n-nights.html, I would like to blog like that and trying to do so...

Ok let's talk something about Universal truth...you know where it's hidden ?
It's all there in Bhagavadgeetha...I like the famous stmt(suggest some word) "Karmanye vadhikarasthe Maphaleshu Kadachana" from Bhagavadgeetha.
I've heard that all management skills are described in 'Karma yoga' of Bhagavadgeetha. Try reading it once...I hardly know Sanskrit ; )
According to me all the things exist in the world are related to one another...Let it be emotions, happyness, beauty, true colour of some one anything for that matter... and I believe that each and every one of our genes which is the basis for everything we do can be modified by the environment around us.
